And I am especially frustrated because I chose this specifically to make when my daughters were home from college just before the holidays. Both gravitate these days to less gluten, more nut flours, less sugar. The recipe met all the marks. Add to that the “small” distinction because they also were not here for long and don’t like to eat a huge amount of dessert.
I can’t classify it as a flop. One of my daughters graciously told me she liked it and even had a small piece a second night. My other daughter just said “no, I don’t like it.” I didn’t even bother offering it to my son.
